Housekeeping Stories

It's Housekeeping Sunday! First of all it was the last day of Oktoberfest (Which is a huge thing in New Ulm)- and that means the rooms are going to be a mess and there is also going to be a ton of checkouts. Now that you have a little insight we can get into the "dirty" details;) 

Our morning started out with "We're still the number one hotel in our area, but we need to do a whole lot better. Ex. measure the width of the turned over sheet- must be from your wrist to your elbow or you have to go back and fix it! 

Ex. number 2 - make sure that your pens have a cap on them! These are just two examples of the strictness of this hotel- it's their German Pride!

Anyways after that little lecture on how we should improve I started out cleaning my rooms and most of them weren't too bas, however, some need to be shared. 

Room # 1: Left a ton of hair and mysterious stuff in a bathtub that was still filled with water! EWE!!!

Room # 2: Had a popcorn party and left popcorn all over the floor and the sheets!! I was not pleased that I had to vacuum the room twice!

Room # 3: Left  a whole box of pizza with all the toppings missing?! They also left a huge mess with beer bottles and the lovely bib that is being modeled by Zen Shorts in the above picture! However, they did leave me $4 in quarters!!!!Which is a huge blessing,because I was in desperate need of laundry money :)

Between Room # 5 and 6: I got $5 and $3 in tips- which makes for a successful day at work!

In summary it made for a long day at work from 10-5:30pm and 10 rooms to clean, but now I can relax and I actually need to get working on my homework- See you tomorrow for the pro's and con's of the week!!!
